Dreams

My son was talking to me just this morning and said something I had never considered before. A bit of background. Josh has Asperger's, he's on the Autistic Spectrum, and we've known for years. Often he'll tell me about dreams he's had but this morning he added. 'You know. I always seem to dream about places I know really well but in the dream they are so different. It's a bit scary really.'

I had never thought about how that mix of reality and 'dream0sense' must be to people on the spectrum. My son still cannot finish The Incredibles because the baby changes at the end. We had the same difficulties with him over Heffalump's and Whoozles in Winnie the Pooh.

How could I miss this all this time?
